I just recently went through this process in Pennsylvania.
There are two mortuary schools in Pennsylvania - Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in Pittsburgh, and Northampton Community College in Bethlehem (where I went).
It is a two year program, including general education requirements. To begin taking core funeral courses, you need 60 credits in total, after which you can take the courses and then graduate.
In Pennsylvania, you are required to hold an Associates Degree in Mortuary Science (Funeral Service).
Once you are done school, you have to take the National Board Exam (both sciences and arts) and then pass a Pennsylvania State Board Exam as well as complete a one year internship in a qualified funeral home in the state. Once you do all of this, you get your full Funeral Director license.
If you have any questions at all (since I recently went through all of this), feel free to email me through Yahoo - click on my name and choose "Send an email".
Yeah, that you could practice "stuff" in Brazil nevertheless it depends upon what "stuff" you're referring to. I would contact the Brazilian consulate or embassy near you. You may be equipped to licensed however I doubt you might just waltz into the country, start enjoying organ track and burying.
