A 7 N uniform gondola is 4 m wide. It is suspended by two ropes that are connected to
each side of the gondola. The right hand rope makes an angle of 30 degrees with the
vertical. The left hand rope makes an angle of 20 degrees with the vertical. What is the
tension in the left hand rope?
Update:I would like you to explain your problem solving method as well! Thank You

This is a bit odd. Something 4 m long has a weight of 7 N ???
T(l) cos 20 . 4 = 7 . 2
(torque from the vertical component of the tension in the left rope = torque from the weight of the gondola ( taking moments about the right hand end )
T(l) = 3.5 / cos 20
