My period in August was from the 21st to the 26th. I had unprotected with my hubby on September 10 *was ovulating. September 17th I had brown strands of blood (spotting) & considered it as 'implantation bleeding' considering it likely happens a week after conception & a week before your period. (In which it did). On the 20th I woke up with heartburn- which I've never had. & ever since the 23rd I've had slight cramps/soreness in my stomach & breasts. I took a pregnancy test equate EPT (blue ink) on Sunday the 25th in the evening- negative. Took another yesterday morning (same type test) it was faintly, but positive. So I went to the dollar store & bought four $1.00 test- took one yesterday evening & it was faint positive- I thought it was negative at first. Took one of the dollar store test this morning- negative?! Although I can see some discoloration where the second line would be if positive. All the times I've taken the dollar store test when I wasn't pregnant- it was clearly negative, no discoloring, solid white with one line. Has this ever happened to you? Do you think it's just because I'm not too far along & the hormone is only slightly showing up? I'm really worried :(Thanks a lot gals:) **praying for our little miracle**

I have used many $store HPT's as I am a testaholic when TTC. I can also say though that if you want it bad enough and/or convince yourself it will be +, you can "see" a second line on the $store HPT's. I would suggest waiting a few more days and getting a FRER test and using FMU that way all the bases are covered that if you really are preggo it will defiantly show up +. Good luck to you!!!
Always use the first urine of the day; it has the highest concentration of hCG. So unless you sleep during the day, it'll be your first urine of the day when your bladder is full. Make sure you follow the directions on the test (lay it flat, don't trust it after 10 minutes, etc.).
If you're still getting conflicting test results, schedule a blood test at your doctor's office.
This has happened to me before (faint positive) and unfortunately (which may not be you) I miscarried. My symptoms were accompanied by cramping. I would think that if you are not experiencing discomfort to wait a couple of weeks. If no sign of your period...schedule an appointment to confirm pregnancy.
Even It is faint it is classed as a positive, you should go see your gp for blood tests to know for sure good luck :-)
