This is why I have two games, it makes it easier for me to trade. Don't worry, if you can't find someone with a friend code, go to pokemongts.com. It's a dependable and reliable source for onlinetradingn, and should have no problem getting a Magmar, Scyther or Venusaur.
I would advise you get a Magmar and Scyther with a magmarizer and metal coat held respectively, because you can get four for the price of two, rather then evolve them later.
If you also have Thunderus, you could possibly trade it (if not needed). A lot of people are currently looking for that at the moment.
