I think Political Correctness affects communication in a negative manner. The change of a word or phrase does not change the reality of the subject matter. Politically correct speech and language does nothing but satisfy self and therefore perpetuate egotism and entitlement mentalities. I can say the sky is green and if enough people like it, that could be the definition but it does not make it true. Taking offense to what others say is a personal problem and should be dealt with as such personally. The general public does not owe anyone peace of mind. If you don't like what you are hearing...just walk away.

If i was a politician, I'd go to the hard topics with harsh words: about the big 3 automakers ... I'd simply say "what the hell were you thinking? How come you kept on producing crappy cars for decades, and still have golden parachutes?"

Insults, when justified, should be used as well.

oy. This is kind of a hot button for me. Positive in a few ways, like a male boss can't call the female employees "broads" and cr@p like that. PC allows to smear Christians and Jews but not allow to smear Muslims.

PC has taken away Christmas and Hanukkah and replace with Happy Holidays.
