China demonstrated to the world precision, meticulous and immaculate organization with the Olympics; again a government initiative designed to trump China's Great Wall by using it's ancient artistry in modern day context to welcome the world inside China's passion, which is honor and proper presentation. Nuclear power is a priority and diplomacy is China's strong suit as demonstrated over the years with the prickly issue of a break a way province, Taiwan. They could have handled it like Iraq addressed Kuwait in the early 90s or like Russia seized parts of Georgia recently. China has chosen time and again diplomacy over war. India is a nuclear power whose rival in all things is Pakistan, also a nuclear power. India is strong in the sciences and cultural arts. They have a formal caste system and a thriving technological market. They are very competitive in the hard sciences, architecture and engineering. India is a power, but internal rivalries and the tendency to fight with Pakistan over the Kashmir could set them back. India can be diplomatic, unlike China they do not demonstrate an even temper, however, they are not like America's Bush Doctrine; shoot first ask questions later.
