So my lil man is 6 days old today. I started labor at around 9am Monday and gave birth to him at 10:50 tuesday. I have been breastfeeding the entire time and I have no desire to eat. I only do a little snacking. My SO had to go back to Florida so my family has been giving me extra help and my mother had to force feed me today because it didn't occur to me that I hadn't eaten since breakfast the day before. Even then I only ate a piece of the breakfast sandwhich. I don't know why but I'm just not hungry.I'm still taking my prenatals and everything, but I'm kinda concerned that he's not getting the nutrients he needs because I'm not eating. I'm trying to force myself but I just can't. I'm not depressed, so I know it's not postpartum depression. I get excited every time I see my lil man. Is this happening to anyone else??? Should I be concerned???Oh and I do drink a lot juice and water. It seems I'm only ever thirsty.

I had the exact same loss of appetite after I gave birth to my son earlier this year. In reality - yes - you are not providing your baby with the nutrients he needs if you are breastfeeding and not eating enough. In fact you need approx 500 extra calories a day to sustain a healthy stream of nutrients for your son.
I don't know if this is your first baby, but it's a massive shock to your body and your emotional state. You have the most beautiful little bundle to look at and when he's asleep who thinks about eating when you could be sleeping yourself! However - you need to. You must ensure that you are eating three healthy balanced meals a day and regular healthy snacks too. If you have family helping that's great - ask them to make you some of your old favourites, set a reminder on your alarm clock to remind you to eat, whatever you have to do to make sure you get some food in you, even if you don't feel like it.
It sounds like you are doing great with your fluids though! Breastfeeding makes you super thirsty to drink away, make sure you've always got a glass of water/juice to hand before you start each feed so you can keep yourself hydrated. But, fluids alone are not enough for your body to make the milk your baby needs.
