poweramp vs real amplifier?
Is the app poweramp the same as a real amplifier? I ordered the audio technica m50s and I want to have some extra bass. I was thinking about getting the fiio e6 amplifier but i dont want to spend 20 dollars on an amp if i can just have an app that does the same thing. What do you think?

If all you want is more bass, and you're not concerned about the volume level, then there are lots of EQ apps out there that would let you do that.
But, if you're wanting more bass AND a lot of volume, there's not a app in the world that can make the additional power required suddenly appear out of nowhere.
There's no free lunch here...you don't get free power from just an app. You're getting some pretty nice headphones...and the headphone amps in most MP3 players is just crap...I'd get the amp too.
