Okay, so I want to get a pre-paid cell phone. I don't use mine much. Even the lowest plan doesn't really apply to me.
Any way that when I get a pre-paid cell that I can still use my phone that I already bought? Or do you have to buy one of their phones?

You usually have to use their phones unless you already have a cell phone that works with their cell phone system or if you have an unlocked cell phone. Then all you have to do is swap the SIM card.
I have 3 prepaid cell phones They are pageplus phones. They are very easy to program and easy to pay for with out all the hassles of paying a phone bill. It is already paid for. I think they are good to have.
this will def work for you!!! it's no credit check, no deposit, everyone is approved even regardless of your age- they are real cell plans NO pre paid
you can even ask them to just give you a plan if you already have the phone. I did it and will NEVER do pre paid again. www.starwirelessphones.com
Good luck
depending on what service you have, if they are the same you can use it as your pre-paid cards. Lets say you have Telus or singular, they have to be unlocked, or buy the pre-paid cards of that service. If you have a contract on your phone you have to cancel it and use pre-paid services. You have a choice
it depends on how old your old cell is.
if it is sim-locked, you have to unlock it - when it's 2 years or older, then you'll get the code via web for free. if it is younger, you'll either have to pay for the code, or wait till the 2 years are over.
unlocking codes must be distributed for free after 2 years.
enter your cell's serial code, and you get the unlocking code.
look on the network websites, many offer a free sim card to use in your existing phone. if you want to change networks you may have to get your phone unlocked.
