i think we have preferences because that's what we're attracted to. And actually you do have a clue who you fall in love with. Subconciously we filter out those that dont match our preferences. For example, if i found height extremly sexy....i wouldnt date someone 5'2 when i was 5'10. i might date someone a FEW inches shorter, but thats just a compromise not a settlement. Lust is spontaneous, but love grows over time....
