I'm 17 years old and I recently started taking Yaz for both my irregular periods and birth control. About a week and a half ago my boyfriend and I started having unprotected sex but he withdrew until I was on the pill for (almost) the full 7 days it tells you to take it before using the pill as the only contraceptive method. After the first week of me taking it, he stopped the withdrawal every time we had sex.
Before that I had some weird "symptoms" that were either coincidental or placebo. Lately it feels like my abdomen right above my pubic bone is sorta getting bigger -.- or maybe I'm just getting fat in weird places from the Yaz. I took a pregnancy test a week and a half ago as well and it was negative (had a scare about one month previous - but no sex).
I kinda want to avoid doctors as long as I can. Any ideas on whether I'm pregnant or anything? o_O
Anything is greatly appreciated.
Update:August 2nd, he accidentally penetrated a little bit but we didn't have sex or anything after that til a week and a half ago. I felt all weird after that day so I took a test when I got to see him again um... A week and a half ago. I only took one that night, and it came out negative.
August 23rd we actually started having sex, but he withdrew, and continued doing so til about a day ago (when my first week on Yaz was up).
Like I said earlier I can't depend on my period because it's been irregular ever since I first got it, and I took Yaz for half a month last year before it actually make me get my period.
I know it's not that smart of a choice especially since I'm this scared/paranoid about it, but I want to avoid condoms. He doesn't enjoy them one bit and I know him well enough to know for a fact that he isn't just using that simply as an excuse. Sounds typical, I know, but I'm sure of it.
Also, thanks for the responses so far.

It sounds like your body is getting used to your new birth control, however I do believe that you should be using condoms as well, because it is possible to get pregnant even while taking birth control especially if you aren't using condoms! I got pregnant after being on birth control for 8 years, you need to be more careful.
Birth control can affect your weight. I know that when I was on it, my stomach got a bit bigger and my boobs were huge. It sorta felt like I was bloated all the time and I did not like it. Try not to worry too much although I know it's hard, especially when you are young. You won't know until it gets closer to your period and you either miss it or take a test. If it's a big concern in the future, use condoms as well and then you can feel extra safe.
I would wait a little longer and take another test just to be sure also if you freak your self out about being prego then you could have fake symptoms. But birth controls can cause alot of unwanted side effects like weight gain and other crap that mimics pregnancies so you should be ok
First relax! buy a pregnancy test i know you want to avoid the doctors but thats the only way you will get a 100% right answer either way if the test comes negative or positive you should go. best of luck.
Ok you have taken two test, and they were both negative. You are probably not pregnant, and just paranoid. It is not uncommon for us females to be worried about such a thing. My advice is to wait until your period is due & take test whether it comes on or not just to be extra sure!!..
I'm gonna say you might be. although it could just be your body reacting to the BC. Wait until AF is due and test again if she don't show. Until then if i think your pregnant and worry about it. your body can and will trick your mind into think that you are... Don't stress honey!!
go to the doctor it might be nothing
you need to be more specific and give dates
