There's nothing dangerous about driving a car! Just make sure you are wearing your seat belt correctly and as long as you and bump are comfortable behind the wheel than all is well.
I am 39 weeks and 2 days and I still drive very comfortably. It takes me a while to get out of the car but other than that the actual sitting and driving part is fine! =)
Well, driving a car can always be risk to male or female because there's always other people driving out there (and might I add also some VERY stupid drivers everywhere) and objects that always makes driving dangerous regardless.
But, as for being 6 months, I don't see it being a huge problem, never heard of not being aloud to as long as your belly doesn't get in the way of being able to steer the wheel efficiently. Just wouldn't recommend driving long periods alone, especially as you get further along because if you go in labor while driving, that would be a huge problem and you would pretty much be SOL.
My friend drove a huge 4x4 pickup truck 5speed up until birth, and she never had any problems. Just be extra careful and keep an extra eye out for those stupid drivers out there for your's and you baby's safety.
It is just one of those "things" in life ya know? If you have to drive to work or run errands and your hubby/man can't do it you just have to. I am still driving 30 minutes too and 30 minutes from work everyday and I am at the same place I was with our first child which I was traveling until the day I gave birth. If my hubby is driving us somewhere then he takes a pillow for me to putover my belly, lol but really you cant worry. It is unfortunate that car accidents happen and if you are pregnant- obviously a significant injury could be harmful to baby, but in the event that you dont have a choice, driving during pregnancy is necessary and the same odds apply. It is a personal choice.
I would say your ok for now but in the next month or so consider stopping when your bump gets bigger, a tiny jault, or sudden stall could cause damages to baby from steering wheel. i stopped driving when i got in car and bump brushed on steering wheel lol, will just feel like the right time.
Just position the seatbelt correctly, with the bottom part low accross your hips, and the shoulder part between your breasts. Basically the seatbelt should be above and below your belly, not accross it.
It's only dangerous if you get in an accident, so be careful out there.
No its not dangerous as long as you drive safely. I am 22 weeks and drive everywhere, i will continue to do so right up until baby is born in december. x
when iw a spregnant i drove up until the day i gave birth. i worked up until the day i gave birth so i had to get there somehow and my fiance had otoget himself to work . anyway, if you're still Riding in the car, it has the same dangers. the danger is, you might get into an accident. so whether you're driving or riding, it's the same dangers

All the best.

There is no reason you can't drive a car.

Ofcourse you can drive!
Just as dangerous as anyother time.
I only had to stop because my giant baby belly would not fit behind the steering wheel anymore lol.
Yes, they can drive a car, but it may be awkward or difficult in the later stages of pregnancy. There are no particular health hazards.
With my first prenancy, I had driven the car until the last minute.
I'm 10 weeks prego now, I'm still driving and plan to drive until the end of my pregnancy.
