do you all pay for renters insurance? car insurance? even phone insurance? then why, with divorce rates being so high these days ( almost 50% ) would somebody not protect their investments by insuring their marriage? most say that your expecting the marriage to fail. well yeah! divorce rates are sky high! if there is a good chance of it happening they doesn't it make sense to protect yourself? The love for a child is obviously unconditional, but for a spouse it is not, there are a few things that they can do to ruin that. thoughts?

I can guarantee you that a prenuptial agreement does not insure (or ensure) your marriage at all. Why on earth would you get married if you are already planning your divorce?
Divorce rates are so high because people are so concerned about protecting themselves rather than protecting their spouses and the commitment they have made to one another.
Putting the effort required into your marriage is the best way to 'insure' it.
well if the love, faith and commitment are there it should be just about impossible to tear the relationship apart. there are people getting divorces for the dumbest reasons like the wife got fat, or they fight too much but all that can be fixed one with communication and two with a little exercise for both. and there are major reasons for divorce like infidelity, I honestly don't think I could get over my husband cheating on me if he ever did but I don't think he ever would.
