In my preschool class we have a theme of Spiderman and that day we are teaching science. Do you have any ideas of activities that relate to a Spiderman theme that have to do with science for preschoolers.

Opportunities are endless. You can use this theme to teach children about spiders. One idea is that you can find a bunch of good photos of spiders in the Internet, print them out, laminate them and teach children about spiders. This should also generate a good discussion with lots of open-ended questions about spiders, etc.
You may also choose this theme to teach children about colours of nature.Bring some photographs of brightly coloured insects of animals and compare those to your Spiderman. You can also use it as a good opportunity to teach children names of the coloures in different languages (here's learning about diversity too)
Another idea is catching a real spider in a safe insect catcher and allow children to use magnifying glass to explore it. Then of course you will let the spider go explaining to children about the importance of using gentle hands with insects and animals.
Hope, this helps and good luck
You can also talk about web, their habitat, how they defend themselves, how they survive, find food. Thats for spider.
As for spiderman theme, those villains are mostly scientist. You get the general idea from there.
