Your friend is missing the point.

He is going to abolish the Bush tax cuts for the rich. So any rich person who had big tax cuts under Bush, would obbviously see an increase in their taxes.

But Obama wants to lower taxes for 95% of Americans. He has made that clear on multiple occassions, McCain just slanders it the wrong way.
