Otherwise your puppy, if left to run free, will pee and poop anywhere and everywhere--it is like bringing home a baby infant from the hospital and NOT putting diapers on the baby--It has NOT learned how to "hold it" and will pee and poop at any time, and any place.

By 'cratetraining' you are teaching the puppy to 'hold it' because they normally will NOT pee and poop where they sleep. Since they sleep in the crate, they normally will njot pee and poop in the crate. You let them out every 2 hours, and boy will they need to pee almost immediately! So have Piddle Pads down, so they can 'go' as soon as you letthem out of the crate.

Make SURE that the landlord permits dogs! Most do not.

Actually breeders do not release their pups at 15 days old.Why are you getting him so young? Beware of this transaction. But on the note that you may have the puppy's age wrong and mean 15 'weeks' then here is some advice........ if you feed him 3 times a day he will 'at least' potty 3 times a day, but chances are more times than that/Little puppies seem to go alot. And they tinkle pretty much every time they get a drink of water. But they must eat and drink.Being in an apartment you can train him to puppy pads and he will use them once trained. But a word of wisdom..........15 days is to young to leave it's mommy and the puppy will not fare well this young. I sure hope this is just a typ-o. If it is a legit 15 day old puppy something is wrong with this picture.This is NOT a good idea.

Unless you are prepared to feed a 15 day old puppy every 2 hours around the clock and you know how to stimulated it to eliminate, the pup will die if you take it from its mother. A 15 day old puppy will not live being fed just 3 times a day.

In most places it's illegal to give away or sell a puppy under the age of 8 weeks. Who is the world is letting you take hom a 15 day old puppy? Clearly someone who should never breed dogs.

House training will be the least of your worries.

15 days old is way to young to be away from the litter/ mother. It is not recommended in some states illegal to sell a puppy before 8 weeks old, that is just two weeks old which you will have to bottle feed and stimulate the puppy to have a bowel movement still.
