I feel like I get a better workout overall (arms, chest, shoulders and core) with pushups but more results in just one area with benchpress...I'm going with pushups since I can so them anywhere

I like either, or. My favorite thing about push ups is that it doesn't cost a thing.
Benchpress. Since I haven't worked out in a while, I'm not sure if I could do as many pushups as I want to. So if I benchpress and gradually increase the weight and reps, I'll be back to where I want to be pushup-wise.

Push Ups. You get more ripped that way, good calisthenics. I think bench press is just to increase muscle mass if I'm correct.
