I am an electrical contractor in fl.I have been asked if I would use my contractors lic. to qualify a business.
What if one of this companies employees does something that causes someone to get hurt, or (god forbid) killed. What would be my responsibilities/liabilities? Could I loose my license?
Other license holders qualify businesses all the time.I should be okay, right?

In my state what you are suggesting (Qualifying a business) would violate your license and could lead to a suspension or revocation.
Furthermore yes, you would be held responsible for the workmanship. In my state the regulations say you are supervising the work being done, and depending on the qualifications of the installers the regs would require you to personally inspect their work. That means you could be held responsible for any negligent installations. If the company were to let their insurance lapse you could be in very big financial trouble.
The rules in Fl might be very different but I'd do some research before jeopardizing y license for someone.
