Please make me as a Christian Westerner woman understand your Sharia laws? I cannot understand why they are divinely inspired if they are so amoral?
I read the Sharia laws and I am appalled. I did further research and could not find one single good defense or apologetic given by any Muslim for the amoral aspect of the Sharia laws. Many defend it, but without giving any reasons at all and avoiding answering easy questions about it when interviewed on TV, by simply changing the topic.- they just defend it by saying it is divinely inspired, yet my God Jesus's divine laws are completely contrary to the Sharia laws, so is Jesus right or Allah with regards to good basic righteous morals?
Update:It is important to note that I am not asking you to compare the morals of Muslims compared to the morals of Christians or any other religion (we ALL are sinners as Jesus said) - Note instead that I am asking you to justify Sharia laws, in particular the law that allows murder:
Criminals of genocide, mass-rape, looting etc (Hiraba) will not be punished if they repent.[ii]
hariatpur, Bangladesh: After 14 year old Hena Begum was raped by a 40 year old cousin, she was convicted of “adultery” by a council of elders and Muslim clerics who practice Sharia law. Hena was sentenced to 100 lashes, and publicly flogged. In the middle of the grueling punishment she collapsed and was taken to a hospital where she died six days later.

If you've read both the bible and shariah law you can clearly see for yourself which of the two are truly pure in motive and morals, God is all that is true and good put your faith in him not allah and you will see the TRUE God show himself to you and impart a piece of his holy spirit into you showing you he's real shariah law is all about peoples choice they make their own decisions no matter how appalling or unlawful it may seem Christians who truly rely on God our lord and saviour Jesus Christ rely on him for our every need
People have different definitions of what is morally right and wrong. 500 years ago the whole world though like the Muslims with regards to women. Its only been in our recent years that we have adjusted our views to be more liberal and respect people as equals. The Islamic world will catch up one day don't worry.
"I read the Sharia laws and I am appalled."
Sounds like you have more reading to do. Have you ever heard of Islamic banking practices? They are part of Sharia law. Among other things, they forbid the charging of interest. Did you know that? If not, I refer back to my original point.
BTW, if you are going to describe something as 'amoral' don't you think that fairness dictates that you give examples of what you personally consider to be amoral? I'm an atheist who opposes the death penalty but many Christians are perfectly fine with it, as are many Muslims. I have also lived in Muslim countries and have seen first hand the 'amoral' lifestyle you imply Muslims lead. That 'amoral' lifestyle probably has more in common with Christianity than you would like to admit, such horrible things as devotion to a persons family, his community and his faith. I don't like to generalize but in this case I will. I will put the morals of a typical Muslim up against the morals of a typical Christian.
Humans have no ultimate sense of morality.
A couple decades ago, showing anything lower than your neck was immoral. Sex was taboo. Now women come on television half naked, movies have sex scenes and you westerners think that's perfectly fine.
Everything in Sharia Law is the best and it's effective.
Crime rates in Muslim countries are low because potential rapists, murders, and thieves know that they have serious punishments waiting for them. That prompts them never to commit those crimes.
Jesus gave no laws. He repeated Allah(swt)'s message.
the islamic world will not catch u they expect the whole world to follow their beliefs they are animals and are stuck in the 7th century
i dont understand it either, i know it just here, on R&S
