Why is it that when you make a racist comment against black people, everyone freaks out and calls you an ignorant racist pig, but when a black person insults white people it is somehow acceptable?
Racism is okay, as long as it's directed towards white people.
If you say 'black people are criminals' or something it's so very ignorant and evil but when Dave Chappelle insults white people and ridicules them it's perfectly acceptable.

Arrest black babies before they become criminals.
Well let's see. All Blacks are not criminals. All whites are not criminals. Jokes are jokes. Whites tell racist jokes. Blacks tell racist jokes. Everyone doesn't call people "white racist pigs". You sound foolish. You say "racism is okay as long as its directed towards white people. Thirty years ago whites thought racism was okay as long as it was directed towards Black people. Now things are changing. The United States is getting browner and browner. No one is sure what race many people are anymore. The media picks up on these foolish thoughts. They are old and stupid. Young people really don't care anymore about race as their parents did. Have you taken a good look around lately? Races intermingling all over!
Deal with it. If enough people ignored these ignorant jokes, they would stop.
To answer your question, it should be viewed from a global perspective. I have had the good fortune of working in and visiting several different countries around Asia. During that time, I have worked with people of just about every imaginable race, creed, and religion. I must say that every culture has its sub-cultures of upper, middle, and lower class, fortunate and less fortunate, good and bad, honest and criminal, with each developing its own stereotypes of the other sub cultures.
That being established, there is no race or religion that has been scientifically proven to be better than another. While some people may be more intelligent than others or more talented in some areas than others, these traits are equally distributed among all cultures.
Given the equal distribution of positive and negative traits among races, anyone that would describe an entire race with a given set of negative traits would be a bigot, as bigotry is defined as a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.
While it is may be appropriate to label some subcultures negatively, especially those that transcend race, such as gangs, racial epithets are inappropriate regardless of the direction of flow. Our time would be more constructively spend pooling our efforts in determining ways to eliminate societies problems as opposed to simply labeling them and/or pointing them out.
I wish I knew the answer to this question... I've been asking it for along time and never get a good clear answer! Only seems white people can be racist! It's probably because the US is the center of attention for the world and whites run the govt here, so we're the main focus for bigotry.
So are you saying shaz that blacks that cry racism aren't racist against whites themselves!
This is an example of our society going "too far" in the opposite direction. There are many people today that believe we (this generation) should be punished for what our ancestors have done.
I would much rather pay taxes that are bringing better education into poor areas and raising minorities out of poverty, than to simply passify them with political correctness. Unfortunately, our media and politics aren't in sync with that attitude at this time in history. Rather than point out that the media gives us skewed racial perspective and politicians only want votes, they shout "racist bigot" at every turn, in order to keep minorities happy and blue collar white Americans "on a leash"
Eventually, we will all need to stand up for the poor and working class people in this country and skin color won't matter. It will become a "class" war rather than a "race" war.
There's a fine line between stating humorous differences between blacks and whites, which Dave does well, and insults both.
But reverse racism, which exists and is more prevalent than people like to talk about, is a steaming crock of s***.
For people to complain about racism yet be racist themself, makes them also a hypocrite. Not a pleasant combination.
i agree,
