The expression is √(9x-196)+√196=√49. I keep getting the answer 27.2, that can't be right though.
I thought that it was solved like this,
√(9x-196)+√196=√49
√(9x-196)+14=7
√(9x-196)=-7
√(9x-196)^2=-7^2
9x-196=49
9x=245 Then it goes to crap from there. What am i doing wrong?

The problem is on the line: √(9x – 196) = -7
The √(9x – 196) MUST be positive
so there are no solutions.
