okay so I'm nineteen and I'm taking a break from school until august. I was offered a job at el pollo loco working part time for minimum wage but I also got an opportunity to have a second interview at radioshack for 8 an hour part time plus commision . both places really liked me but the problem is with radioshack they said if I don't sel in 30 days that ill be let go. I'm confident in my selling skills since I've worked as a sales associate before but I'm not sure if radioshack is worth taking a chance with /: help?

If you were told that you would be let go in 30 days if you couldn't perform, then I would find a different radioshack. I'm a manager and when we hire somebody new, whether they have experience or not, it takes time to learn the trade. We normally give that person(s) at least 3 months to show significant improvements. As long as you can show that you have a desire to work there and show that you can change as the business requires you to do so, then I don't think you would have a problem. But It's different from district to district. 1 month of "do good or get out" seems kind of harsh. Radioshack are everywhere. Try another local radioshack if you can, because it sounds like the one you got interviewed at doesn't understand how to go about running a successful business.
El Pollo Loco
I would go with RadioShack. The reason being is that of the two, you can develop some sales skills at Radio Shack. Also you will be exposed to technical products that you can learn about at Radio Shack. Learn about the phones, learn about the latest laptops. Heck, if they have a spare computer maybe they will let you take it home...learn microsoft office and then get a job as a temp in an office! Temping gigs can pay very well.
If you have experience in sales and are confident enough that you'd be able to make a sale, then go for Radioshack. Have you ever worked in a fast food joint and are ok with it being fast paced? Then El Pollo Loco would be more stable.
