With 160k, my thoughts if it needs a transmission trade it in on a new vehicle, it's not worth the repairs.
Uhh, well, having to turn the key all the way for it to start sounds pretty much normal.
As far as the other problem, if it's hesitation, this is just a guess since I don't know which year or engine, but I would check a Throttle Position Sensor or Idle Air Control Valve. Of course your car may not even use those parts so....
If it's transmission slippage, then yes, it might be the transmission.
if the RPM's are going up when you give it gas and it still hesitates .....yes it is probably the transmission. if the RPM's are not going up when it hesitates it could possibly be the fuel injectors or even 1 of several sensors. there are several places that will hook the car up to a computer free of charge to let you know what is wrong with it. (auto zone is one of them). the staring proble could be the starter. again, a computer analysis is your best option. you would be out no expense and you would know exactly what the problem areas are. good luck on the repairs.
ok first of all, any sugar contained in the tank could be stuck by technique of the gas filter out, and the filter out could clog causing the motor vehicle to close down. After the tank is flushed, the strains blown out gas pump replaced, and gas filter out replaced the subsequent fual filter out will capture any left over sugar, for that reason the engine isn't harm. 2d, Honey could be broke down contained in the gas itself regularly. it may probable bypass the gas filter out, and clog a gas injector or 2, even though it does no longer go by the gas injector nozzle. So no Engine isn't lengthy gone from the honey. gas injector purifier could destroy any honey residue down and make it a moot factor also. If there is in reality a lack of capacity, the only ability issue i could see it coming from this project, is that if the mechanic did not blow out the go back line, or did not blow out the feed line. this may enable remnants back into the tank, and the gas filter out could properly be in part clogged back. To the ASE qualified Mechanic, please stick with replacing brake pads and oil please because the poster not in any respect reported if the motor vehicle grow to be more recent than a ninety form. maximum pre ninety form american autos, haven't any more something better than a promptly pipe from the filler to the tank, and nevertheless at present, maximum trucks produced, nevertheless use the promptly pipe from filler to tank. Making 5 or 50lbs of sugar achieveable, without clogging the filler.
