No. First of all, no one would find out, unless it is a very unique, signature dish. And, for restaurant use, you usually have to tweak a recipe a bit to make it work the way you need it to (because of equipment needs, etc) or because you need to convert it for large batches.
Don't worry about it. I've gotten a lot of recipe ideas off the net. It would be no different than using a recipe from a cookbook. And if you are worried about it, just change the name of the dish and make some slight changes to the recipe.
And another thing, I'm prettty sure that the copyright thing is just for publishing purposes... just like books. In other words, it would be like plagarism if you were to publish that same recipe as your own. This doesn't apply to a restaurant that is USING the reicpe.
All the recipes from internet are public , so everybody can use its however he/she likes for profit or nonprofit. Every time I whrite a recipe on internet, I loose the right to be just my own.
if you vary the recipe and if the recipe is , red pepper, white pepper, black pepper, celery seed, cumin, cinnamon is common knowledge. for rub spices. Marinade on ribs. basic vinegar, honey pepper and garlic and salt..

Of course not.If people dont want to tell others a recipe , they certainly are not going to put it on internet for the whole world to see.
