Remote Start/ Keyless Entry Remote?
I have an aftermarket keyless entry and remote start on my car. My owners manual tells me how to make the system "learn" a new remote. I was wondering if i can just buy any aftermarket remote and program that to my car? Or do I need a certain brand or something?

You have to buy the same brand, yes it can learn a new remote but only certain ones..go to your local alarm shop and they can tell you which ones you can use
You have to use the same brand for either your alarm system or the actual car if it has a remote entry system. They operate on different carrier signals that a non-branded opener will not talk to.
