Ok...this pisses me off every time I rent a car why am I charged an extra fee (almost as much as the rental itself) because I am under 25? I know about the statistics blah blah blah but they are statistics. If this charge is solely based on statistics why are there no other groups involved such as seniors or new drivers? How is it acceptable to single out one group of individuals? I'll use myself as an example I'm 21 years old 5 years of experience physically behind the wheel 7 in the eyes of the government because of driver training with not so much as a parking violation on my record. Not to mention I have my class 1 licence with qualifies me as a professional driver. I can drive 60 000 kgs down the highway but I have to pay an extra 25 bucks per day for a rental car? this doesn't seem fair to me especially if I am driving the rental car under my own insurance. I am assuming the 25 bucks has something to do with insurance. (please feel free to correct me if I am wrong) Anyways this doesn't seem right to me? What if based on statistics there was a fee based on eye sight or sex. pretty sure wouldn't happen. What about something like literacy? (try to even find statistics related to driving and literacy) (probably can't find any stats on it because everyone is literate right? (I dunno about you but personally I can handle the truth even if it hurts my feelings. As a pretty wise man (for an american) once said "When did feelings become more important than Truth" Bill Mahar). If the reasoning behind charging young drivers an extra fee is based on statistics why arn't other high risk groups being charged is it because of feelings? Maybe it's just me but I don't like being treated differently than someone born before 1984. How is it right to judge me solely because of my age. Seems the same as judging me on my race or religion or sexual orientation. 18-25(is actually a larger % of the population than alot of the fore mentioned groups) Try charging a fee based on one of those and instant **** storm guarenteed.

Anyways had to get this off my chest.. I guess i'm pretty lucky thought the only time i ve every felt discrimination was as a paying customer. any thoughts on this?
