They could work with you and assist you in many ways, but they are tuned out because of their view on social policies.
What is more important to you, The economy, the debt, and the deficit or making sure Bob and Tom can't get married? Making sure that people can't decide what they want to smoke eventhough it's their body, and ensuring we have enough money to bomb innocent people?
Update:@ Kentucky Woman, There are many liberals, including myself, who would gladly side with the libertarian party. I am very libertarian when it comes to foreign policy and your views on the Federal Reserve, Social Issues, however, you can't just cut everything that you feel is unconstitutional right at once. That would be a disaster. We need to gradually phase it out, not just quit "cold turkey"

The GOP better wake up and understand what they did wrong that caused the Tuesday results.
Those things are important to them but what is most important to Republicans is having the president able to declare war without Congress deciding. It is not even just a matter of being able to declare war because no Libertarian says no war at all. Libertarians just think that it is Congress' job and Republicans do not want to give up the executive privilege of declaring war-Constitutional or not.
Kentucky Woman: There have been about 2 dozen bogus lawsuits filed by Republicans and about zero filed by Democrats to keep Libertarians off the ballot this election. Democrats have every right to disagree with Libertarians but neither side has any right to be hostile to them. And don't give me that crap that Gary Johnson-who is a strong advocate of gay marriage, legalized marijuana and other drugs and wants troops overseas back here and bases closed represents a more Republican than Democratic view.
To bad Obama was not interested in the economy, jobs and the deficit for the last 4 years.

I am a libertarian because I think it is the only hope for the Constittuion but if we had a Gov. that was out of everyones business and let people live as they want with minimal laws as was intended we would have a much more peaceful country.
