Yes, here it's a type of sandwich, but I wouldn't let that stop you!

I like both names. I would go with Reuben though. I'm Hispanic and all of the Reuban's I've ever met are Hispanic and have their names spelled Ruben instead of Reuben. Maybe if you spell it this way then American's who read the name might not automatically think of the sandwich.

There is a sandwhich called the reuben, but that doesn't ruin the name for me at all (and I personally think the sandwich is delicious, haha). Reuben is my fourth favourite boy's name actually. I think it is absolutely striking, handsome, charming, adorable, etc. I would love to have two more sons and to call one Reuben. When I hear the name, I think of a fun, sweet, handsome, likeable boy.

Elias is a really cool name too, but I definitely don't like it as much as Reuben. Though I have to say, Reuben Elias would be an incredible combination. :)

When I hear Reuben all I can think of is a sandwich, so I prefer Elias.
