I am going on Oasis soon and I want to go to the teens club. I know they divide you in age groups of 12-14 and 15-17 and I was wondering if they'll make an exception and let me go in the 15-17 age group since I am nearly 15 and I also don't want to hang out with 12 year olds. Also, can you guys tell me about your experience going to the teens club? This is my first time.

Here is a simple fact.
EVERY(well at least a majority) 14 year old wants to be in the higher club because they don't want to hang out with "children". So no they do not make exceptions. Of course you and your parents can ask, but expect the answer to be a very well worded (and rehearsed since they give it several dozen times every cruise) answer as to why you can't.
They sometimes will make exceptions to allow an older kid go to into the younger club, especially if their are relatives traveling together that have a split in the ages. But going "up" to a higher club is something that is not generally done. The only other case this could happen is if there are not enough kids in a single cruise that they could combine the clubs. However, don't expect that on some of the bigger cruises during the summer season.
Keep this in mind as well. Just as you don't want to hang out with the 12 year olds, the 17 year olds in the higher club don't want to hang out with 14 year olds(who think they are 15). So you will have a much better time in the club with your own age group, as there is nothing that says you have to interact with 12 year olds at all.
You have to ask when you board the ships and a part of it depends upon how many are on board in each age group. If there are few in a category they may be more inclined to combine.
Aging down is sometimes allowed. Aging up pretty much never is. The age you are on boarding day is the only one that matters.
No. you are in the group for your age at the time of sailing. Period.
