Now I am starting to like Ryback a little bit, more then a lot of other people in WWE atleast *cough Cena* but recently I read on here that some don't think WWE took anything from the Goldberg character when creating Ryback. I want you to watch this video (in particular 1:40 to 2:40) and then tell me how much if little or none at all WWE took from Goldberg. Thanks

I totally see it: they're both bald, they're both stiff in the ring, they're kind of dull after watching them for a few months, Ryback does that same weird mouth thing that Goldberg did before he makes his way to the ring. WWE creative definitely tried to mold Ryback into the next Goldberg.
He's no more Goldberg Clone than he is An Ultimate Warrior Clone or Goldberg was Ultimate Warriior repackaged in an MMA costume
The Unstoppable Juggernaut" wrestling character is probably as old as the comic book character, if not the original Literal meaning from Sanskrit
Just because a few people who started watching in 1999 abd think the Business began in 1996 it does not mean that Goldberg is 'THE' sourse for all such archetypal characters
The only comparison they have is that they are both bald, and they are both powerful. That is it. Though the way Ryback carries himself through the match is very similar. For example: Goldberg when he won his matches, he would first spear his opponent. Then he would lift him up for the Jackhammer. When Ryback gets ready to finish his matches, he also has a running move but its the Clothesline instead. Then he lifts him up for the Shell shocked to win the match. They also both walk around when they have the man on their shoulders as well.
There are a few hints here and there as to why he is copying Goldberg (with different moves), but for the most part he's completely different.
Ryback is like if Goldberg and RVD had a love child
Both Bald
I hate both of them
