I have a dell s video to composite adapter and i plugged the adapter into my 8600 GT video card and the composite into my TV and i saw it on the TV but the quality was so bad i couldn't read the big start button words on windows xp. Anything at all to help me fix the quality would be great help.
p.s - I do not have an HDTV, its like....5 years old.

Composite or s-video support only standard def. So you get about 240 lines of resolution (480i)
you desire a converter container of a few style. A VGA to s-video cable is possibly to no longer artwork. For S-video, it is going to be the comparable as ordinary television, in case you get a VGA to composite converter container. in the experience that your television has HDMI, the fee is properly worth it for the video high quality, which would be as much as 1080i.
it should composite is a downgrade from s video
