My fiance has some debt from college (he got in a bike wreck and couldnt finish) and hes starting a job at walgreens distribution monday. Apparently a collection agency told him if he doesnt pay 90 a month starting monday, they will take 250 from his paycheck every week. we cant afford that but we dont have the money to pay the 90 by monday his first paycheck from walgreens wont be till 2 weeks. Hes been going to laborforce but they have no work out here and I was trying to look for quick cash loans. I know the interest will be unforgiveable if i get a loan but we cant afford for them to take 250 every week. Has anyone gotten any small loans before and know a good one? Oh and I also dont have a bank account so that may be a problem.... help!!

I would not take out a payday loan for $90 as that's going to cost him $150 to pay back in 2 weeks.
Sell anything you don't need on Craigslist for $90 cash or borrow from friends and family - or speak to his employer to see if he can get a $90 advance
Is his loan a private loan or a federal loan? If it is a federal loan, you are likely being scammed as you have to receive paperwork in the mail notifying you of their intent to garnish wages well in advance of it actually happening. You then have an option to request a hearing to prevent the garnishment and/or request a lower rate if their proposed garnishment would cause significant financial hardship. Wage garnishments for federal loans are not fixed amounts, but a percentage of each paycheck, up to 15%. If his loan is a private loan, he needs to contact the lender directly and try to work something out. I live in a non garnishment state so I don't know how wage garnishment works except for federal loans, but I'm pretty sure they actually have to get a court order so the "pay by monday or else" thing is probably just a threat.
Payday loans are a very bad idea and you can't even get one unless you have a bank account and a job.
scam - you will not see your $245 again. You will not get your $5000 loan. You will be sad.
