Okay, so I have had my period non stop since the 26th of september. It is really really bad, I go through a new tampon every hour and I am having blood clots the size of baseballs... I called my gyno, but they are out of the office, what can I do in the mean time while I'm waiting to hear back from them??? What could be wrong?? I use to have very iregular periods until the end of last year, they have been very normal, i use to have periods that would last for months at a time, what could be wrong with me.... what can I do for this, and what can I do to help? I feel soooo drained I have lost so much blood!
Update:and yes i am anemic, i take iron pills daily

Woww......i thought i was the only one who had this problem, i have had very irregular periods for like 2 years now, sometimes i dont get it and skip it for months, but when i do get it, who knows when it'll stop, to tell you the truth i had one that lasted for 3 months i thought it was never going to end, and they were always heavy and with heavy blood clots!!! i felt very weak and felt like i could not move, so i went to the doctors to get my blood checked so they can tell me what was wrong with me, they had said i lost too much blood so they prescribed me iron pills to drink 3 times a day because of the amount of blood i was losing......they had told me it was nothing serious, and not to stress much, they also said it can be from stress, which was very true, i was under alot of stress...eventually i stopped but it was very painful and annoying!
you wont bleed to death, the blood that builds up in your womb is not the same blood that you can die from loosing. the blood clots arent as serious either, they are not blood clots like the ones people suffer with in their legs/brain etc.. it is probably just old bloody that is coming away from your womb.
get checked out anyway hun, as they may be able to help and give you something to make your periods alot lighter.
I think your best bet is to go to the ER. Losing blood everyday for almost a month is not good, most likely you are anemic from losing so much blood. Please get some type of medical attention. Hope this helps and good luck.
I had very similar problems!
It was so bad at some points I missed school
and work for days and days and days.
Take medicine
such as ibuprofen because it slows the bleeding down.
What fixed the problem for me was birth control.
hope it gets better!
good luck!
I dunno if you are sexually active but maybe you were pregnant and miscarrried. I would go to the ER because its gogin on a month almost that you are bleeding now and thats not a normal menstrual cycle
you have had your period for a month? I assume you're like 14 but still that is a really irregular cycle, Have that checked out
OMg my goodness!! honey!
