So last night I woke up around 5am because I felt something lightly tough my thigh. I opened my eyes and saw a black shadow and mind you my room lights were off and I could still see this shadow. And I guess I was shocked that I kept my eyes opened and I watched this shadow slowly walk out my room (my door was open). I thought it was my mom so I called out to it as if it were my mom. But it just ignored me leaving my room. So I just want to know what it is and if I should be worried

You were in an altered state of mind---In bed and just having woke up. Any moving shadow might have been just enough "suggestion" to seed your imagination or induce a "Waking dream"----Not that you may not have "imagined" it, but we just cant trust ANYTHING we see and hear when we are in an "altered state of mind". This includes semi-sleep as well as being drunk or high or mentally ill. SO you really can't be sure you have seen ANYTHING unless someone else sees it too (at the same time or a later date)---When you can't be sure, don't jump to fantastical conclusions, simply write it off as a "dream" or "Hallucination" and forget about it.------Now if somebody ELSE reports the same thing in the same place, there MIGHT be something to think about and consider. Don't let the dark color upset you, even a cloud of white mist looks black when lit and viewed from certain angles.
Almost certainly a waking dream (hypnagogia). Shadows can't touch, let alone have intelligence of any sort.
Hypnagogic hallucinations are very common and realistic to the point of giving rise to superstitious beliefs. But nothing paranormal has ever been shown to be real despite centuries of modern science.
<So last night I woke up around 5am> ...and had a hypnagogic hallucination. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypnagogia Hypnopompic, actually, if you want to be technical, but that's quibbling. Hypnagogia is the reason the majority of 'sightings' like yours happen at night and in the bedroom, because they are related to sleep and dreams and aren't paranormal at all. You had, in effect, a waking dream.

If you raise your vibration of awareness, you will vibrate at such a rate that it changes your perception. It is not uncommon for people to witness them. I don't say whether they are real or not, I just know information concerning them and I have information as to what they are. Now, awareness is a strong tool we have and can perceive things according to the rate of vibration it is at. Or in other words, the frequency level you resonate on. So, since you vibrate at this rate, you are going to witness it in all parts of your being. This information goes way back to the beginning of recording information. Even in the old Egyptian Books of the Dead they speak on them and the Underworld where the shadow people exist.
Now, back to the frequency range you vibrate at, you can shift your frequency range to that to perceive life from a different view point. Just like a rich person and a poor person. It's their vibration at which they perceive life. You have to power to shift that to any frequency range you desire. It starts with awareness first and knowing how to shift it like an old radio, turning the tune knob to just the right spot to pick up on that station. (side note: root word to station is state such as in a state of mind you reside.) But, you can stop seeing these beings when you shift.
They only have the ability to be in one state where as you have to ability to shift from one state to another and perceive quite differently.
Probably the byproduct of your sleepy head and imagination. Don't worry about it - many of us have had unusual visions and hallucinations in the middle of the night.
We can't tell you what it was, because we weren't there. We can tell you what it WASN'T however. It wasn't a "shadow person" or any other type of supernatural entity.
many, many have described seeing God as a man dressed in black as if a shadow
I have seen them and I just ignore them.
The total truth is you had a demonic visitor period...............
