thats a tough one, but I might do that trade. Gordon shouldn't be on the bench, he is a great OF and his bat is looking good this year. Puig is amazing right now, but the league is going to figure him out at some point, and his stats will come back to earth. Longoria is a huge bump at 3B here, and Gordon should be solid the rest of the year. Gordon may not put up the numbers that Puig does, but I still think you come out on the better side with this trade on the whole.
Having said that, if this is a keeper league, there is no way in hell you should trade Puig.
Hmm Longoria is great dont get me wrong. But i don't think it's worth it, Puig himself is an all around player that should get you a salad bowl of stats. He's even got 100+ @ bats less than Longoria!! That tells you theres a larger stat potential with Puig. The downside is, just cause he's a rookie, you have no History on when he would have a chance of catching cold. But seriously, in my own personal opinion, i've been watching Puig since Cactus, and i saw a lot in him (also being the original hitter in my watch list from day one). I'm not a pro scouter or player or anything, i just had a pure gut feeling that he's the type of player that has an un-endless amount of potential because of his overall athleticism...I mean look at the kid, he's a goddam manchild. Contemplate over your decision, you don't want to regret giving away the hottest hitter when August and September goes down the stretch.
depends on what your team needs are. I would go for Puig because you already have Headley. But that is a risk because Puig has no guarantee to keep up production, but with Longoria you know what you're gonna get .290/30/80
