My friend is getting a 2001 toyota celica for his first car.
Im getting a 1990's Acura Integra for mine.
Which one would win in a race?
Which one is better? (quality, faster, get what you paid for type of deal)
The celica seems like a girl car to me, what about you?
Which one would you rather own?
Can you list pros and cons of both cars. Whats the same between them?
Thanks, Casey!
P.S. (I will choose you answer for best answer if I like it! :D)

Once again it depends on the engines and if they are stock I have a 94 gsr and beats my friends gts I know it is from around 02.
If it is a ls gs rs good luck but probably going to lose unless you get some mods which will be cheaper and the integra is usually cheaper to buy.
I prefer the integras looks and handling plus they are getting hard to find.
That being said it is personal appearance but celicas do not look girlie lol.
It depends on which one for each.
A 94-01 Integra LS/RS/GS is about 140hp and is 2600lbs.
A 2000-2005 Celica GT is 140hp and about 2300lbs.
Close matchup, but the Celica will be quicker.
The 94-01 Integra GS-R is 175-180hp and 2650lbs.
The 2000-2005 Celica GT-S is 180hp and 2400lbs.
Another close matchup, but as of this day, I've seen a faster average and best time from the Celica.
Most GS-Rs can only run mid 15s in 1/4 mile, with only 1 ever hitting a 14 (friend went 14.97 in a stock GS-R, still the fastest time on dragtimes), meanwhile there are several Celica GT-S's running 14.8, even 14.7s stock, which is nearly what the 200hp Integra Type R runs.
Also, the Celica is an absolutely fantastic handling car. Not that the GS-R is bad, but the Celica is just better.
However...All that said, the aftermarket support for the Integra FAR outnumbers the Celica. Sure, there's parts, but not the abundance the Honda has.
It depends on the type of Celica he gets and the type of Integra you get.
Is it a Celica GT?, GTS?
Is it an Integra GSR or Type R, or a normal Integra LS?
If you get the Integra LS, he will beat you every time.
If you get the Integra GSR, you would beat the Celica GT and be very close to the fastest version of the Celica.
If you get the rare Integra Type R, you will win every time.
Celica is not a girls car. Quality wise, the Integra was stopped in 2001 and the Celica was redesigned in 2001. So the Celica is newer technology and better quality.
The Integra handles better and I would prefer the Integra since it is more fun to drive and cheaper to own and maintain.
Both Cars are very nice cars. Off the bat though the Acura will be faster then the Celica because its a GSR and the Celica is heavy. You also need to ask yourself are you going to mod the crap out of the car or just leave it stock and make few minor mods here and there. There are thousands of parts for the Integra and there very cheap to get as well. Celica parts will most likely be rare and very expensive. Im a Die hard Toyota fan but in this case I would definitely go with the Acura if I were modding it like crazy and if you were to swap engines out B20 block with B16 head all the way. Very cheap to run turbo on Integras as well. BUT its true though do your research on your Acuras make sure its not messed up people that get there hands on Integras tear them up inside and out basically giving them the worst hell and then try to sell it to another sucker. If you got a Celica youd be pretty rare I dont see a lot of modded Celicas out there.
In terms of quality, they are about the same since Acura is just Honda, but the Acura will win in a race against the Toyota Celica due to a slight horsepower advantage. And the Celica does look like a girly car.
I'm still currently driving my first car, and it's a 1991 Acura Integra LS. (about to reach 130k miles) My engine is flat out worn down...replaced the intake cooler and installed one from DC sports. In my opinion, My car is crap since its cloth... tight space in the back...my windows are cranked, not powered. And also it doesnt contain airbags. It recently got a paint job, it went from light torqoise to black cause I thought I would look sleek which it totally does but, Now it's a cop magnet. I'll give you my perspective...and from what I told you about MY car, I'm saying that the celica may have an advantage. A girls car? please. Still though your car can potentially be better. I would drive the Celica because...well I told you already. Hope this somewhat helped at all, good luck to you!
celica would win if it had the xrs tranny with (6 speeds)
integra is better if u put some mods and if that integra comes with a b17
i own a 94 integra but i also like celicas ive race one when i had a supra and celica beated me with turbo
if you get a 94 integra and up u will beat it
after all it depends on driver,
i would suggest you guys to practice autocross is pretty fun and is legal,
is like a little circuit and is very competitive because is time challenge
good luck :D
