Labradors and most gun dogs have two coats. A waterproof outer coat and a soft inner coat. They shed their coats regularly and that's why they are always shedding hair. We just gotta grin and bear it I suppose!
Regular brushing will help . At least you'll get the hair in one spot and not everywhere!

Your lab is simply shedding unless you are finding bald spots. Most of them shed year round, but a good daily brushing should eliminate most of it.
