I was wondering if anyone knew of a good social work dictionary, encyclopedia and/or handbook? I am starting graduate school tomorrow, where I will begin working towards a MSW. My undergrad was psychology and I have been out of school for some time. I am not familiar with general social work terminology or theories. What books would you recommend to someone who is new to social work? I saw several social work dictionaries and encyclopedias on amazon.com, but I am not really sure which ones are the best. Thanks so much for your time and advice! Wish me luck. :-)

Well I just finished school, studying sociology in college. While social work and sociology are different (obviously), I did use a sociological dictionary so I'm sure there is a social work dictionary. I went to Barnes and Noble and found mine... so I hope this works. I believe I remember seeing a social work dictionary so you should be able to find one!
