When I was 12-13,(I'm 27 now) I had some strange things happen. At night, while I was awake or half awake, it would feel like my blankets were being tugged on. It may seem weird, and i was afraid to tell anyone. But this happened every night for almost a year. I would pull the covers over my face because I was afraid if I looked, I would see something I didn't want to see. They weren't being jerked off, but felt like someone was at the end of the bed slowly pulling them in that direction. I would just try to hold on to the blankets and ignore it. Only once when I was half asleep, did they feel like they were suddenly jerked off, and I woke up with a start, but I may have been dreaming. It stopped when we moved houses, and the house that it was happening in, my father had been molesting my brothers. So I dot know if it was evil in the house or why. I was terrified to sleep. And I finally told a counselor, since my mom was thinking something was wrong with me. The therapist said it was maybe sleep apnea,(at 13?) or possibly I knew about the molesting and and was subconsciously afraid it was happening to me. I don't believe it was either, I did not know what my father was doing. He was later arrested and we moved with my mom and all of this stopped. And no, it was not my dad trying to molest ME, as some have suggested, as my door was always locked, and he only did it to my brothers, not me or my sister. Any opinions on this sort of thing?

I believe in a lot of paranormal stuff, but I don't think your experience was paranormal. (and ignore the evangelist, he's always trying to convert people in here) Sorry to hear about your brothers by the way, but I don't think it's connected to them in any way either. Let's talk about the sheets.
Heh heh... you said "jerked off". (sorry, couldnt' resist) Anyway, what you experienced was very similar to something everyone experiences from time to time when they're on the edge of sleep. And when something happens to everyone, it doesn't really count as paranormal.
I've had sleep disorders all my life, and have looked into this stuff. Sleep isn't an on-or-off thing like a light switch, it's a gradual thing kind of like a sunrise or sunset. There are many stages of sleep, and the sensation of physical activity (bed shaking, blankets moving, vibrating, being touched, whatever) happens when you're right in between asleep and awake in that sort of twilight zone. It's part of the process of your mind and body going into sleep mode, but you feel it because you're still somewhat awake. You also start dreaming long before you're fully asleep, because your subconscious mind is running all the time. You can even keep dreaming for several minutes after you wake up, because again... it's not a sudden thing.
Sleep apnea can come and go, and it can definitely mess up your sleeping patterns. It can also cause vivid and wild dreams, because the vivid dreams happen when you're between sleep and wakefulness.
That thing you felt, by the way, is exactly one of the reasons The Exorcist scared the snot out of so many people. Everyone watching that movie got to the bed-shaking scene and said "holy crap, that's happened to ME" and almost peed their pants. Scariest movie ever made.
Anyway, there's your explanation. You can look much of it up if you want, but I wasn't quoting any official information when I said the Exorcist was the scariest movie. That part is just opinion.
If you don't suffer from some biological indication such as adenoids, obesity or snoring then it is not probable that you suffer from sleep apnea. This is a respiratory disorder that does not allow for you to sleep.
With the evidence that incest was occurring within your family, this sounds more like a profile for UFO abduction. You remember the point that the blanket was beginning to be removed. But beyond that the experience was too horrific for you to safely recall. Because your family carries a trait to commit incest, UFOs are attracted to your entire family.
There is a reference in the Holy Bible that these families would be taken and the seed would be scattered. Even though you don't recall being molested, it doesn't matter. You are at a high risk of abduction. I am glad to hear that this phenomenon stopped. More that what is uncommon is that abductees, never feel safe again and suffer a lifetime of abductions. This could be because you don't have the inclination to molest. You are more than likely the third born child, having an immunity to the disorder.

It depends how you method this question. Many people i've met that feel they may be psychic are just rather sensitive, however one man or woman i do know has the equal response. She came to me for some support. Now she's particularly skilled. She has a deep connection to the afterlife. She can summon a spirit to speak to. She doesn't quite summon a spirit, but more so talks to them in a hypnotic like trance. The trance is like how some folks can supposedly connect with God, and talk to him, but it can be in a language that they do not even be aware of. If you happen to ever have got to be aware of in the event you honestly have a connection speak to a well identified medium, or IM me and that i possibly in a position to help you control your connection.
I dreamed that I ate a giant marshmallow, and when I woke up, my pillow was missing. (I feel stuffed now).
It is possible that a spirit tugged your blankets. It is also possible that a spirit occupied your father when he molested people.
However, most likely, your father molested you, and sometimes you were awake, enough, to notice that the blankets moved.
The sexual abuse on the part of your dad may have brought demonic activity into your place. The thing is: demons don´t discriminate between the abuser and the victims. Although you were not a victim, like your brothers were, your father´s behavior also brought demonic harassment upon you.
Sinful behavior creates openings for demons. So.
You were either lucid dreaming/sleep paralysis/false awakening. I know they don't sound like your situation but they connect. Try reading those: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucid_dream, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_awakening
It was nothing paranormal. It's kind of hard to explain if you haven't read them. Good luck.
