I am thinking about building a standard ar-15 lower and using a 10mm upper on it. I would like to use glock 20 mags with a kriss extention, but I can't find a magwell adapter. Does anyone know where I can get an adapter for glock 20/21 mags? If i can't find one I'll probably just get a hahn grease gun adapter. For the upper, i would like to build my own, but i dont really know where to start. Can someone point me in the right direction to start building a 10mm upper? If i can't built my upper I'll probably buy an Olympic and replace the sight and forearm.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks, Ryan

I am guessing the reason you dont find mag adapters for this - is because they do not make them. They do not make them because it is not practical and there is zero demand for it. Getting a gun to fire properly means more than stuffing any mag in the aproximate position........ it's not like making love in a car backseat and eventually finding out where things fit - the mag needs to align flawlessly with the barrel feed ramps so the cartridge goes into the chamber opening first time and every time.
You begin a project like this - by finding a barrel and BCG first - then asking the maker what magazines can be used. It's literally just that easy. Assuming you have the tools, training and skills to complete the work.
Now - unless you have tons of money and dont mind dropping several hundred bucks for tools you might only use once - the 'smart money' is to simply buy a complete AR upper in 10mm. This way any jams or failure to function problems become a warranty issue - and not a new headache for you to puzzle out over the next few months and years....... as you dump hundreds of more $$$ into this project rifle blindly replacing parts.
Lots and lots of people have been greatly disapointed with 9mm, 10mm and 45acp AR-15's - I highly suggest you get some trigger time on one before you buy this. It shocks me that a guy will spend 2-3 hours picking out a $20 pair of sneakers .......... but drop $700-$1100 or more on a rifle they have never fired! You buy this upper and dont like it - expect to take bath when you sell it ....... not many folks want a 10mm AR. Be lucky to get $200 for it - and - they guy who buys it will probably rip off the barrel .... toss it and the BCG out and use the rest of the parts to build another upper.
Love the 10mm round

There you go. For only $700 you can for whatever reason shoot a pistol round out of the AR.
To build your own I'd look at ar15.com. I know there's a thread or two on the subject.
My return question would be...what is your purpose in doing this ? What kind of a budget do you have ?
