Hi. I have owned my snes ever since before I was born (1997) and I was raised with it having a funky sound problem. Instead of game music it is a bunch of beeps to the music and when I'm in any lava kind of level it turns to static. I noticed something inside of it jiggling around and I was wondering if I needed it repaired. I live in Amarillo Texas and if you live there can you tell me a store where they repair an snes and for how much (and I know one exists cause I got an nes for my 15th birthday)

Like you I have owned my SNES and NES for almost 21 years now and everytime I've had a problem with it I rang Nintendo directly and they fixed it for free. I believe they both come with life-time warranties but this is in Australia, not sure if thats world-wide. But I would get in contact with them and see if they can do something about it. Hold on to your retro consoles! They dont make em like they used to!
If you're making use of a composite cable, (almost always Yellow ends) that handiest includes the Video know-how. You need, frequently, 2 extra cables to carry the sound expertise, more often than not White for Left and purple for correct. However if you're using some form of converter to coax, there must be some solution to get audio into the converter as good. Hope that helps!!
