1. Super Paper Mario will last longer. Super Paper Mario is a great game that was made for single player. Mario Party has a single player, but it can get tedious and boring within minutes.

2. Super Paper Mario. The only way Mario Party would be fun is if you plan on having friends over to play with you. Even then, if your friends are anything like mine, they will get bored while waiting for each other to take turns.

3. Just get Super Paper Mario. I don't know how long Mario Party's story mode is, but I doubt you will get through the whole story mode before giving up on it due to boredom. It just playing the same boards you See in the regular mode. Its not fun at all. Super Paper Mario will probably come closer to the 3 to 4 weeks mark you want.

I recommend Super Paper Mario. Super Paper Mario (SPM) took me around 24 hours to beat but once you are done you have many more side quest you can do. Mario Party 8 (MP8) is not has fun or lasts as long. Sure you can play it over again but to beat the main part it took me a little over an hour. MP8 is for more than 1 player and is not meant for just 1 person. SPM is way more fun. It is a challenging game which at the same time is very exciting. It is a modern version of the older versions. MP8 is not as fun unless you like board games played on a video game. I personally had to chech the internet for help only about 2 times while MP8 you fon't have to at all. Super paper mario. Mario party gets really boring playing by yourself, it doesn't really take that long for a good gamer to finish. Super paper mario is so much fun to do, and it has a great story behind it. you can also replay through SPM without getting too bored with it all. (I've beaten it 4 times already =] ) It also has very many things to do after you beat the game, like two pits of 100 trials along with the 100 sammer guy challenge, and an arcade as well as over 200 cards to try to collect. Or take a week and try and piece together all the story parts... jk, not really that hard.

I'd say paper mario. Mario Party 8 gets old pretty fast (usually after you beat one-player mode twice, which takes only about 5 hours). While Paper Mario last longer (20-30 hours)
