Hi! I am currently a senior in high school. I will be graduating in a few months and I was hoping to get an opininon from either someone who is or has been a surgical tech or a Certified nursing assistant and what you thought about it. I am trying to decide between these two and just need someones perspective! Any opinons would be appreciated!!

Oh, goodness, that's rather easy for me. Surgical Tech, by far. An experienced involved surg/scrub tech can make well over $45k/year and can approach $60k/yr.
I agree on the cna thing i am doing home health right now and thinking i would do beter in pay at mcdonalds then this. Though I was told a cna can work as a surgical tech is this true?
Between surgical technician and Certified Nursing Assistant, of course I will pursue surgical technician courses which pays well. You will be working in the operating room usually after a surgery or before a surgery which your responsibility is to make sure all the instruments are sterilized and cleanse, the operating room, the floor, those used biohazard instruments like used syringes, used sponges, used gloves etc should be carefully disposed in biohazard bins, and even some to be incinerated etc. It depends on the medical facilities, some can pay as much as $25.00 per hour. Unlike CNA, thats one of the hardest job having to clean up dirty adult diapers etc which those nurses won't do and the pay is about 1/3 of a surgical technician *
I am a CNA and a nursing student. CNA's only make $9-$10 an hour where I live it's not worth how hard the work is.
