1. Its different because of the chemistry and because of the Mentality. Of course the Hugo, Lavolpe, and Sven Mentality will affect they style of play!

2. You could say that Hugo was the start of our downfall! He was more into what he was going to say to the press then of concentrating on the up coming games!

4. Vela: Needs more time to develop into the striker we want him to be. Has alot of years ahead of him along with with Gio. Torrado is hitting that cap that he doesn't belong in the national team any more. Arce, I never liked him and should not be in the national team period!!

5. No...WE DONT NEED THOSE CLASSIC!! How Pathetic is it that we still need to depend on those players!!?? Mexico should be at the point where once BLANCO retired, there was already a bench player ready to take his spot and not have this discussion!! But for this I blame the FEDERATION for not giving the young players the chance then need in their clubs!

1. Well new players like Magallon, Nery, Arce and others came up and Lavolpe used the 5-3-2 formation, Sven and Hugo used the 4-4-2 formation.

2. World Cup 2002 was the hint of the downfall of Mexico. When they were almost eliminated and when the bigger hint came up was when USA eliminated Mexico 2-0. That's when it showed that Mexico needs to come back to the top. Lavolpe brought Mexico back to the top and Lavolpe fixed Mexico, but then Hugo made the hint come true.

3. Honestly, no offence to anyone but no. It's up for grabs for anyone. USA is getting closer to it while Mexico is getting farther away.

4. Vela and Gio don't deserve to be with Mexico, they are not showing that they can make a difference. Torrado and Arce are playing really good with Mexico. Arce sometimes plays bad with Mexico.

5. Mexico needs Blanco and Borgetti back. Blanco's passes for Borgetti is usually a goal. Blanco is now in a good time. Borgetti as long as he scores goals, he's alright for Mexico.

1- it's easy. The players aren't motivated any more. look at the squads from the 2002 and 2006 World Cup. After 2002, 16 players were designated to leave since they were old. So that means over 200 hundred players wanted to win their spots on El Tri. What does that cause? An explosion of competition, in which no spot is guaranteed, excluding Oswaldo's, Marquez', Borgetti's, Morales' , and Arellano's. But now the defenses is made, the midfield is made, and now the forwards are chosen. So basically everyone you saw play is going to the world cup. Because Sven doesn't know the Mexican player. So the players he chose are the ones most popular in Mexico.

Osorio, Zinha, Pardo, Franco, Corona, Ochoa, Pineda, Gringo Castro, Kikin, Guardado, Bravo, Maza, and Lucho were the new face of the Mexico in 2006. 14 new positions were fought for. Altimirano lost out to Gringo and Mendez because every player wanted to fight their way up. Which made Mexico great because they wanted to keep themselves on the team so they played great. Zinha beat out Bofo, Pardo beat El Chato, Corona and Ochoa beat out Moises and Saucedo, Kikin beat out de Nigris, Marquez Lugo, etc... while Pineda and Guardado beat Carlos Morales and Lozano. Most players are now from Europe so whenever there is a friendly all those players wont get practice with the team to try out plays so when its game time they dont work as a team like they used to. in 2005 and before almost all the players played in Mexico so those players never had an excuse to miss those games because the presidents of their clubs would actually let them.

2. Hugo Sanchez did not start it. The players started it. It isn't the coach's fault that a player misses 40 out of 41 shots on goal.

3. No we don't. Unfortunatley USA has shown us that they dominate us and I hate to admit it but its true.

4. Gio and Vela, became cocky just because they were champs and play in Europe. Arce needs more international games to play. I don't think there is anything wrong with Torrado. He plays the same.

5. The one who we need the most is Blanco. We need someone with major experiance, a true leader, and someone with guts and he fits all of that perfectly.

1. There is some sort of lack of motivation in the team. I don't know if they think that just with their Jersey they are gonna win games because they WERE the Mighty Mexico? 2.Yes he did, Hugo destroyed the moral and the good name Mexico had. Teams were afraid to play Mexico...Games against teams like guatemala, costa rica, Canada, honduras, el salvador, etc were an easy 3pts for mexico!

5.HELL NO!!!!!!!!! Borgetti is old! Cuao is old as well. Bofo is the most over rated FMF player their is! He sucks, he's a cry baby and spends more time on the floor trying to get the foul than actually play! HE SUCKS!! He can not compare to Pardo, Zinha, Nery, Vuoso, Bravo, Leandro! And those are the spots he plays!

1.la Volpe leaving effected Mexico alot he had standards that he expected from every last one of his players now he did have way more time then Sven so maybe el FMF is to blame by hiring Hugo with no experience

I miss LaVolpe because he loved to play offensively, pressing in the middle, controlling of the ball and he had great tactics. His main problem was a poor defensive scheme in his beloved 3-4-3 attack formation. He had teams fearing the Mexican attack and in doing so earned the respect of every team he played. He was a great coach and had mexico on top of there game and did a better job then Hugo and Sven.

LaVolpe contended that he would return if he was asked to. I think he did a great job, took Mexico to WC-2006 ranked 4th in the world...However, he was never a favorite among the Mexican people but not too many people complained about his coaching ability... The Mexican media was always taking cheaps shots and it does this for ratings. Another problem he faced is he didn’t take Cuauthemoc Blanco to the WC. With all that aside…LaVolpe did a lot for MEXICO.

Here’s what he accomplished while coach of EL TRI:

He won the Confederations Cup….The first championship of Mexico in a FIFA tournament.

For the first time in history, (except when the wolrd cup has been played in mexico, Mexico was Head of the group), another great accomplishment.

Mexico qualify to the world cup in a very very very easy way, very different compared with the past (recent) times. (Just yesterday…Mexico barely qualified and In 2001, Mexico barely qualified, to WC 2002, also barely qualified in 1993 just to make some recent examples)

Mexico played a heck of a game vs Argentina, some injuries of Pardo, Castro and Guardado in that game brought down the team.

Also after that world cup, Mexico sent more players than ever to play in Europe, so it was also a positive thing. (Kikin to Benfica, Portugal, Osorio and Pardo to Stutgart, Germany, Salcido to PSV, neatherlands, etc...) LaVolpe brought up the likes of Memo and Guardado to the world stage.

Finally i will say that we all felt like the team had the tools to get further in the WC, but hey, Argentina is Argentina. They got some of the most talented guys in the world. And the sick goal from Maxi Rodriguez with the left foot was simply amazing.

Even Recently 2008 LaVolpe has receive praise and recognition….

Different mentality of the players...the players that were commanded by Lavolpe seemed more eager to win for Mexico...BUT Lavolpe had one major flaw-he was too blinded by his pride to give a chance to real Mexican players who really deserved to play for la Seleccion. Guille for example. What did he ever do other than being good at Monterrey Rayados..

No Hugo did not start our downfall...We brought it upon ourselves by firing him and hiring a person who knew nothing about our soccer or country...

1.because sven is a different coach hes more used to the european style of play and has different formations which i think are brilliant but mexico needs time to get used to the style of play he wants.. mexico will only get better
