Or it might mean there is no future for people to travel back from. America's baby-boomers just elected a genuine psychotic to have control of the second largest nuclear arsenal on Earth, and he is already trying to start a new nuclear arms race. I think our civilization, maybe even of species, has under three years to live. And maybe the reason time travelers didn't stop Trump's election is because there is no future for time travel to be invented in.

Time travel and the manipulation of events across time occurs in a wide variety of ways, and once you begin to understand that reality is created by your imagination, you'll begin to understand that your imagination is the limiting factor and filter which prevents you from seeing evidence.

I can't show you evidence of something you aren't prepared to see, particularly something you're ill equipped intellectually to understand. I can tell you the multiverse exists, without a shadow of a doubt, and the reason it exists is to mitigate the risk to linear timelines by time travelers and mechanisms which alter time.

But providing proof to you means you'd have to understand my world, my reality and the way I perceive the world - which I can't.

If you watch the movie "The Matrix" - there's a saying - you can't be shown the Matrix. You have to see it and understand it for yourself.

There's certain truths. Time Travel. The Multiverse. Things I can tell you definitively do exist - but from personal experience - I couldn't be told it existed without proof. And when I found it. Most people who don't think like me wind up classifying people like me as mentally ill because they can't comprehend what i do. .

You have to understand why time travel isn't fiction - but on your terms. This isn't an existential question. It's not belittling. There's mountains of evidence it exists in many formats - but as you classify this evidence as fiction, hallucination, insanity or delusion, all you're doing is backing yourself in an intellectual corner where you'll have no real options but to discover it on your own.

Not in the way you described it. The fact that there have been no documented cases of a time traveler from the future is insufficient cause alone to declare anything with respect to time travel. The proof is in physics. Physics precludes time travel into the past.

It may also mean that OUR present has not caught up to the point where we can travel in time.

We may be able to next year and THEN we can come back to today. But we have to get to that point first.

It might be the case that time travelers are there beyond the perception but cannot talk to us or don't want to communicate in any way. Or maybe they're not allowed to.

The solid theory on time travel is that a time traveler cannot go back to a time before the creation of the time machine/vehicle/ whatever. The other part of that theory is we would have to harness a black hole to get the energy for it to work.

Either physical time travel HAS ALREADY happened without our knowing it ( or is happening NOW; future to past ) or it really IS an impossibility; the stuff of ingenious science fiction.

It's OK to make either choice here.

on the other hand, if there were time travelers coming here from the future, it would be in their interests to not let us know they were time travelers, and since they were time travelers they would be able to completely keep us from finding that out.

Time dilation occurs when moving at fast speeds. The affect is much larger the closer you get to the speed of light. So, in that sense you could be a time traveler.
