Time Travel question?
What would happen with you went back 8 years ago and killed yourself? For one thing that means that you been dead for 8 years already, but with you been dead for 8 years to begin with then you couldn't have been dead because you wouldn't be able to go back to kill yourself. What would happen? lol this is confusing. Also with you went back and just met yourself it seems like you would see yourself from the future first before you went back, other-words you would have to repeat the same thing exactly the same as the other, first from the past then the present.

if you go back 8 years ago from, let's say, current dimension A to a new dimension B and kill yourself. You would be alive in dimension A and dead in Dimension B. If you go back to Dimension A to where you were from, nothing will change as the dimensions are completely independent (the fact of you travelling to another dimension violates almost every law in physics), anyway, if you decide to stay in Dimension A, you would live as a miracle for coming from another dimension but the person who represented you 8 years ago would be anyway dead.
All in all, Dimensions are independent, you've lived millions of lives, in some of them you just took different desitions and in some others you didn't. (take a look at Poincarè's theory which scientifically shows how you are living the same live many times and repeating it for ever).
You should acquaint yourself with the Time Tunnel, America's most secret project. You will notice that something always prevents the facts of history from being changed. Why Tony can't even save his own father. I think that answers your question. Something would happen so that you could not kill yourself.
By the way, did you get this idea from watching Red Dwarf? They did an episode where JFK shot himself. I think it was because he found out that in the future he would be revealed to be a complete loser (like he actually was although I think they took some liberty with his future actions) so the only way out was to shoot himself and thus die before he could become a total screw up.

of course you can. it would look like this Past->Present(this is when you're going to time travel)->Past(this is where you kill yourself) and then there would be no loop after that
I think that you'd just die. But you the future self wouldn't be dead. But the events in your history since your death would not have occurred to other people.
You'd be a matter of your own without history in civilization.
It is not that confusing. The paradox only exists if there is time travel. Therefor there is n time travel.
