I have never used the Alcatel brand of phone before. So I do not know the average standby time of that model of phone. But if you are only getting 3 days in standby time, it must be normal. Your phone could be using a lot of battery power in standby mode because of your location to the closest cell phone tower.

Generally I have found that a CDMA phone has better standby time than GSM phones that I have had. Your phone is a GSM model.
