This is my first year on track and I do not know what shoes I need to buy. Do i have to wear separate shoes for practice and meets or can i wear just one shoe. my track coach told me i will be doing the 300meter sprint and maybe hurdles. Do you reccomend any shoes for flat feet with a size 15 for men.

You need at least two different shoes. You will be racing in spikes and to warm up and sometimes to practice in you must have a good running shoes, not racing flats.
If you can afford the money it is a good idea to have a pair of racing flats to run intervals and speed work in without using your spikes.
well i did the 400 m sprints
i used the shoes with the spikes on the bottom better chances of not falling or slipping on turns or jumps
i used my shoes with spikes for everything practice and meets
Just use a running shoe that you like for training. Use spikes during races. Go to a good running shoe store (preferably not a franchise) and they should be able to set you up correctly.
