I want to take a cruise to the Holy Land. I know that since the problems began there some years ago not many cruise lines go there.
If I take a transatlantic cruise to Europe first, are there any ships that go to any port in Israel? Maybe Greece would be possible and then a cruise line from Greece to Israel?
I don't fly which is why I want to know about cruise travel.
Update:Thank you Tinkertoy.
I guess there are no direct cruises to Israel though. Cunard is ok, prices not bad either.

YES!! you can cruise to Europe and take a cruise that has a stop or two in Israel. HOWEVER, you will actually be required to take multiple cruises and most likely on different cruise lines in order to do this. And you may also need a train ride to get from the end of your cruise to Europe and the departure port for the cruise that has stops in Israel.
Cunard Cruise lines has regularly scheduled cruises from New York City to Europe. So you could schedule to go just about any week; and also schedule to come back about any time. http://www.cunard.com/Destinations/default.asp?Sub...
Other cruise lines like Royal Caribbean have periodic Atlantic crossings with stops in various ports. Here's an example. http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/cruiseDe...
Then in order to cruise to the Holy Land ports you would need to book another cruise. Here's an example: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/cruiseDe...

So you can cruise to where you want to go but you will likely need a travel agent to put together all of the cruise to, there, and back and make train and hotel reservations to connect all of this. A travel agent will not charge a fee to do the bookings as that person will be paid commission by the cruise lines and hotels.
