depends on your os, most have a transfer wisard that you can use but you might need to buy a flop cable to get them to talk to each other. if you know how you might try to change the hard drives out but you may have to reinstall the os witch will wipe all your files. if your are using a usb external hd you can load all files onto it then you can put them on the new computer. easyest way is to take your computers to a shop cost more then buying things you will only use once. but in the long run a external drive works best you can take them on trips and have all your files with you and thay are a plug and play as long as the os is compatable with the one you use
